Sitong Lu, AKA stone or Cathlee. I’m from China.

I was born in a city (Kunming) and grew up in another (Guangzhou), but my family roots from a small town at thousand kilometers away. I am currently studying film art in Paris College of Art and Emerson College, major interest in experimental narrative and documentary. In addition, I also dabble in installation and collage art. My practice of photography grows from my travels, and I use it as a narrative recording medium independent of cinema. I believe that the unique texture of still film photography and the shooting process create an unique connection with people as viewers and me as a photographer.

I’m recently exploring the idea of "home" by placing two images during my travels together. It’s to create not just a nostalgic delusion, but also attempt to capture the similarities between each places that resonate with my independent yet common drifting past.
